Last night I took the Russian out again.
We went to go see some stand up comedy. We both agree that female comics suck. Sadly the opener was female and yes she was terrible. The rest of the show was entertaining and we had a good time.
I'm beginning to get a better feel for the way The Russian's brain works. She is quite possibly more sarcastic than I am. I know, I'm impressed too.
I haven't managed to scare her off either which is impressive in itself. It isn't like I'm not being myself either. Here is an excerpt of some of our texting. This is after I've invited her out to the comedy place.
Her: Yea sounds good. I may laugh at some very inappropriate things though...
Me: I told Nazi jokes on the first date, I think you'll be fine.
Her: Funny fact-I'm Jewish. Not religiously but kinda like you're Mormon without the resentment cuz nobody ever made me believe in it...
Me: Still could have offended you, sorry if I did. My bad.
Her: Haha all genocide jokes are equally offensive. I bring it up because I wasn't offended.
Me: Ok, good. Cause I find some offensive things pretty damn funny.
Her: I have a feeling you're not the only one.
I'm going to keep her around I think.
The rest of my weekend wasn't anything that unusual. I drank, I acted like an idiot. I made some other people feel like idiots. I ate some shwarma, which, if you haven't done you should. I think I switched it up to falafel on Saturday night. I learned that rock climbing hung over doesn't work that well. I learned that sleeping on a love seat when you're 6'2 isn't all that great. In fact it is probably worse than you can imagine.
The best part of my weekend was probably the hour of the comedy show I got to sit with my arm around the Russian.
I am going to go out with Fybro for coffee this week just to see if it is even worth pursuing.
I'm also planning on going out with the Russian on Wednesday. I have no ideas at the moment what to do with her.
It is fucking cold out here (minus 25 Celsius here, or -13 Fahrenheit)
I'm thinking something indoors, but what? I'm willing to entertain ideas from my audience so in the comments give me some ideas.
Later Days,
NtH
Take her climbing with you. I'm assuming you go to an indoor gym, right? She'll have to wear tight clothing and you can check out her ass without her even knowing. But really, she'll know.
ReplyDeleteAnd yah for not easily offended Mormons!!
I agree with vv on the indoor climbing thing.
ReplyDeleteAnd I wish I was a stand up comedian. "A mormon and a jew enter a comedy club, telling nazi jokes" sounds like an amazing way to start a joke...
Before I get any more suggestions about climbing, she has already said eventually but not right of way.
ReplyDeleteAh. Well then. Offer to make her dinner at your place but really, just get her drunk and make out. You get some action and you don't really have to do any cooking.
ReplyDeleteIt's subzero there! I got nothing. Sorry.
As someone who grew up in warm places (Hawaii & California), maybe I'm ignorant but cold outside sounds like fun.
ReplyDeleteYou get to actually use a fireplace. Or wear coats.
I'm going to go against the crowd and say no on the "couch date" idea this early. I think you still need to be out doing something with her, at least for another date. Unless she mentions it would be nice to just stay in and chill and then go for it. I don't know what you have locally there but maybe a sporting event or something with other distractions but excuses still to get your arm around her, you know... to guide her through the crowd. Or see if any of the restaurants nearby have like a tasting night or wine tasting or something that you could check out. Those are usually fun and fairly low key. You are a creative guy, you can figure it out. Good luck with whatever you decide.
ReplyDeleteI'm with RG, no couch dates and no sex expos. A cool art museum or photography exhibit or science center. Even the kinds aimed at kids are usually somewhat interesting. An aquarium, even, just don't call it a fish prison outloud until you are sure she will appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteI am not a fan of cold weather but I am a fan of cooking so if it were me I would cook her a nice dinner. Maybe just cuddle up and watch a movie or something afterwards.
